The handle is invalid error

Sometimes when using a custom map, or generating your own you may come accross this error:

Exception: System.IO.IOException: The handle is invalid.

To fix this, follow these steps:

If your server status is not showing "Stopped" (it may show "Error"), Start the server, wait a few seconds and the click "Stop". This will ensure your server is now "Stopped".
Go to the Actions tab and click Repair
Once the repair has finished, try starting your server again. The error should no longer show up.
